Corporate Interests Come to Terrence Murphy’s Aid to Protect Albany’s Pay-to-Play Politics

New York Friends of Democracy released the following statement on new attacks against Justin Wagner in New York’s 40th Senate district election.
“Terrence Murphy’s special interest friends are funded by a who’s who of corporate interests,” said David Donnelly of New York Friends of Democracy. “Sending Murphy to Albany will lead to more favors and pay-to-play politics and that’s why Balance New York is trying to stop Justin Wagner. They know, and we know, that Justin Wagner will be a champion for cleaning up Albany and stopping big donors from calling the shots.”
The new attack from Balance New York follows a desperate attempt by the Murphy campaign to have New York Friends of Democracy’s television ad about his pay-to-play record pulled off the air. That ad is running through Election Day across the district. It’s available online at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TC_nV5dU2FI.
